In Barcelona, o ramasita a vechiului oras intra in Mediterana, despartind plaja urbana de noul port nautic si rezistand in felul sau atacurilor dezvoltarii imobiliare. Strazile marinaresti din La Barceloneta se intind in umbra apartamentelor unde inca vezi haine atarnand la uscat in balcoane si poti deosebi usor vecinii noi pentru ca ei "nu stiu cum sa le intinda corect". Locuitorii din La Barceloneta isi apara cartierul si isi povestesc vietile pregatindu-se pentru festivalul anual de pe strada lor, care depinde mai putin de birocratia orasului si mai mult de bunavointa celor care locuiesc aici. Aceste pensionare pun zambete pe buze si stiu fiecare colt al cartierului. Filmul face greul sa para usor captand esenta a ceva ce dispare, intre amintiri despre legende cu marinari si presimtirea modernitatii.

Director's Bio-Filmography:
Born 1973 in Hannover, Germany. After directing some short films and working as cinematographer for Television he studied cinematography at the filmschool HFF Potsdam- Babelsberg. Since then he works as freelance cinematographer. LA ÚLTIMA CALLE - DIE LETZTE STRASSE is his debut feature documentary as director. Berlinale Talent Campus participant 2008. Honored with the Film Award of Lower-Saxony 2000.Born 1979 in Barcelona, Spain. Studying Art and Design at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London, with focus on documentary. Since then works as visual artist, focusing on topics such as social transformation, especially in her neighborhood Barceloneta. Using different artistic approaches, such as video, participatory photography or sound mapping. LA ÚLTIMA CALLE - DIE LETZTE STRASSE is her first feature length film. She was granted artist scholarships by the state of Catalunya and the city of Barcelona.
