Director's Bio-Filmography:
Born in Sao Paulo in 1980, Guilherme Hoffmann studied graphic design at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, followed by a Masters at the School of Fine Arts in Sao Paulo, where he made two short experimental films: "Carpe Diem"(2006) and "País Tropical" (2007). Centered in performances created by Guilherme himself in the streets of Sao Paulo, these films triggered his interest on something quite simple: interacting with strangers in unusual situations. In 2008 he moved to Paris to do a master's degree in documentary filmmaking at the University Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis - which the final project is the film "Metro". During the two years of shooting, Guilherme developed in parallel an audiovisual workshop with children in a sociocultural center in the Paris suburbs.
