Luciano Barisone

Luciano Barisone is the director of the International Documentary Film Festival from Switzerland Visions du Réel in Nyon since 2011. He was a club host, journalist and film critic for specialist magazines, Luciano Barisone has collaborated at numerous international film festivals, including the Locarno International FF and the Venice International FF. In 2002, he founded the Alba Infinity Festival, for which he has acted as artistic director until 2007. From 2008 to 2010 he is artistic director at Festival dei Popoli in Florence.
He has acted as member of the jury in the most important film festivals worldwide, at Cannes (Caméra d'or 1997), Marseille (Fid, 2000), Paris (Cinéma du Réel, 2009), Toronto (Hot Docs, 2011), Sarajevo (2011), Amsterdam (IDFA, 2011) among others.

Sorin Botoșeneanu

Dean of the Faculty of Film (The National University of Theatre and Cinematography Arts "I.L.Caragiale" in Bucharest). Organizer of educational programmes, advisor and producer of social and cultural projects, photography, documentary and experimental films. Trainer at film workshops.

Hanka Kastelicová

Hanka Kastelicová is Executive Producer of Documentaries for HBO Europe. Based in the Budapest office, and working closely with HBO Europe’s production centers in Warsaw, Prague and Bucharest, she oversees all aspects of HBO Europe’s documentary output. She earned a Master of Arts degree from the Faculty of Film and TV Documentary Department at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She came to HBO Europe from Slovenian public broadcaster RTV SLO, where she directed and produced many documentaries; she is an experienced and dedicated documentary film-maker. Most recently she was working there as head of Documentary Development and Commissioning Editor.

René Kubášek

René Kubášek (Czech Republic) is currently director of the Czech Centre in Bucharest. Prior to that, he was active in various non governmental organisations, between 1998 and 2004 he was collaborator of the former Czech President Václav Havel. As a documentary photographer, he has presented his work at exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad

Cristian Nițulescu

Member of CA SRTV and management advisor at TVR3. Former executive producer for the News Department of the Romanian Television. Editor in chief of the TVR News Department, coordonator at TVR Bucharest, producer of documentary films such as The Gold Story – a series of nine documentary films – selected for the Documentary Film Market at Cannes 2010. Training in letters, further training in Tv Management and Cultural Anthropology. Produced and directed a series of programmes on cultural anthropology topics for the Romanian Television. The author of linguistic research studies and books.

Christophe Pomez

Advisor on Cinema and Theatre Issues of the Ministry of Culture in France, currently Director of the French Institute in Cluj-Napoca, which actively supports the organization of many festivals in Transylvania.
He holds an European Master's Degree in Management of Cultural Firms (School of Economics, Arts and Communications, Paris-Drouot). As representative of the National Centre of Cinematography and the moving image (CNC), he has followed the implementation of cinema and media production aid funds, and he enjoyed reading the various documentary scripts submitted.

Cristi Puiu

One of the most acclaimed Romanian film directors and screenwriters of the New Wave, he is the author of award-winning shorts and feature films. He has a declared interest in documentary, which is visible in his feature films. Winner of many awards, including Un Certain Regard at Cannes, Silver Hugo Special Jury Prize of the Chicago Film Festival , and The Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival. His most recent production, "Aurora", is the second film in a series entitled Six Stories from the Outskirts of Bucharest.

Michael Stewart

A distinguished anthropologist working in Eastern Europe as well as a film Producer in independent production companies and the BBC. Currently Director of Open City London Documentary Festival; Ph.D. in Social Anthropology; He has been, variously a fellow at the Institute of Advanced Study, Budapest (Collegium Budapest), a Rubin Research Fellow at School of Public Policy, UCL; a Leverhulme Research Fellow, Dept. of Anthropology, London School of Economics.
