DOCSTORIES BLACK SEA
Astra Film Festival 2012 is hosting a session of masterclasses DOCSTORIES BLACK SEA bringing together participants from countries bordering the Black Sea: Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Turkey, Romania, Moldova. They bring to the festival in Sibiu unknown local stories from their home country, and will be advised to turn them into documentaries of wide international circulation.
Among the leading trainers present at the festival in Sibiu we mention: Rick Minnich from California, graduate of the famous Columbia University and author of films awarded around the world, Goran Radovanovic (Serbia), philosopher, writer, director and producer of documentaries of reference in the past three decades, Gordey (Franţa), producer of films and web documentarz projects.
Dramaturgy, structure and the way in which the story is transposed into documentary are just a few topics that will initiate participants at DOCSTORIES the days spent at Astra Film Sibiu.
The session in Sibiu is the second module of the programme that started in Tbilisi (Georgia) and will be concluded at IDFA - International Documentary Film Amsterdam – The Netherlands.
