MEDIA Programme support for documentary filmmakers

Astra Film Festival Sibiu 2011 and MEDIA Desk România invite you to the information seminar „MEDIA Programme support for documentary filmmakers”, on the 29th of October, at 1 o’clock at Sala Studio.

The financing opportunities and the areas of support offered by the MEDIA Programme to documentary filmmakers will be presented by Valentina Miu, head of MEDIA Desk România.

Moreover, at the seminar will attend Ada Solomon (Hi Film Productions), who will share the experience with the MEDIA Programme and will present the  romanian  documentary project „Kapitalism, our secret recipe”.

The seminar will end with a cocktail offered by MEDIA Desk Romania at Astra Film Festival.

The MEDIA Programme supports actively the documentary filmmakers through calls of proposals in all the areas of suport of the programme: training, development, promotion, festivals, distribution.

In the framework of the MEDIA schemes for continous training, several programmes are dedicated to documentaries using development workshops, some of them with specific themes (historic documentaries, social documentaries, archive documentaries and so on).

MEDIA supports the creation and production of documentaries using financing schemes for creative documentary producers who develop documentary projects and productions for TV broadcasting.

Moreover, documentary filmmakers can participate to coproduction meetings, pitching forums and networking activities supported by the MEDIA Programme in the framework of the financing schemes for the promotion of european audiovisual works,. 

MEDIA Desk România is the office based in Bucharest aimed at promoting in Romania the MEDIA 2007 Programme, offering information and advice.
